These delicious treats are ideal for parties or when you have a big group of people. They are also easy to make in advance and you can swap out the cheeses or spinach for a new combination. This recipe will make about 24 rolls.

Made using Jus-Rol Frozen Puff Pastry Sheets, only use one sheet and halve the recipe if it’s just for the family.

Ingredients

Method

STEP 1
Defrost your pastry the night before.

STEP 2
On a clean, dry surface add a little flour and unravel your pastry sheets, if they’re uneven roll them out a little with a wooden pin.

STEP 3
Add a large frying pan onto the hob with your olive oil on a medium heat, add in your garlic and allow to simmer until fragrant.

STEP 4
Now add in your spinach and cook for 2- 3 minutes or until it’s all wilted. Drain any excess moisture and season with salt and pepper to taste and add in your chilli flakes too. Stir to combine.

STEP 5
Spread your spinach mixture evenly across the pastry and top with your Comte and parmesan in an even layer over the top. Leave a 1 cm border to prevent spillage when you’re rolling it up.

STEP 6
Roll from the shorter side, firmly and all the way up until you have a long log. Do this for both sheets.

STEP 7
Wrap your logs in cling film and place in the freezer for 30 minutes. You don’t want to freeze it, you just want it to firm them up so it’s easier to cut up.

STEP 8
Preheat your oven to 200°c and prepare your baking sheets by covering them with non stick baking paper or use rubber baking mats.

STEP 9
Take your rolls out the freezer and using a serrated knife cut your logs into 24 rolls. The easiest way to do this is by cutting them in half, then those halves into halves and so on. You should get 12 rolls out of each sheet.

STEP 10
Place your rolls a few centimeters apart on your baking tray or mat and bake for 20- 25 minutes or until they start to turn golden brown.

STEP 11
Serve warm alongside homemade basil pesto, salsa or fresh sour cream.
