Blackberries are an edible fruit you can commonly see growing in bushes along the side of the road in the UK from June to November. These juicy blackberries are pre packed for you so you don’t have to go harvest them yourself with a delightful light flavour. Each blackberry when ripe, is made up of 20 – 50 single seeds known as drupelets which are small juice filled sacks in a deep purplish black colour.
Blackberries are packed full of a important nutrients including potassium, magnesium and calcium. They are also a rich source of anthocyanins which are powerful anti oxidants as well as various vitamins. Ideal to simply be enjoyed as they are but these are wonderful when baked into pies and cakes as well as sauces of jus.
