There is little difference between a Brussel Sprout StalkĀ and loose sprouts. The stalk is edible, but requires longer cooking times to generate good flavour and texture. It helps to provide a source of post-harvest nutrients for the sprouts, allowing them to stay fresh for longer.
Ideal for roasting with a variety of flavours, try with olive oil, salt and pepper for a simple base and then dip them in delicious, homemade garlic mayonnaise. You can also try adding a little balsamic vinegar, garlic, honey or some brie and bacon.
