This Château Naujan Lapeyrere Bordeaux Supérieur is a mature, bright red with sweet dark fruit notes which comes in at 13% Vol. They merge a silky mouth feel with a wonderful aromatic complexity and a combination of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The flavour is further enhanced by 12 months of aging in French oak barrels after fermentation which is in temperature controlled, stainless steel vats.
This 2015 vintage has a taste which is smooth and decadent with plenty of juicy, dark fruits like cherry which is combined with the perfect touch of vanilla and caramel. The grapes are grown in vineyards that are located in an excellent clay, limestone and gravel soil which helps to produce a fine and delicate bottle. The wine estate is located in Saint-Vincent de Pertignas which is in the Region of Entre-deux-Mers, near Saint-Emilion.
This deliciously velvety bottle of red pairs perfectly with rich meats such as veal, beef and game but it’s just as tasty when simply enjoyed by itself.
