Cotswolds Distillery Single Malt Whisky is the first whisky ever distilled in the Cotswolds. That have used 100% locally grown, floor malted barley and matured the whisky in their first fill ex Bourbon barrels and reconditioned red wine casks.
Coming in at 46% Vol with rich, fruity and sippable notes of honey, seville orange marmalade and dark red fruits.
This is an excellent single malt whisky with a reasonable price for the first ever distilled. Made with carefully sourced ingredients including barley grown in the Cotswolds and two complimentary varieties of yeast.
The taste is something else, with layers of honey and butterscotch combined with peaches and just a hint of marzipan. Strong notes of tannin, oil and dark sugar are followed by a long and resinous finish.
