This Farfalle Tricolore is made in Gragnano near Naples, the birth place of pasta in Italy, using 100% superior quality durum wheat semolina that is high in protein and results in an al dente cooked pasta texture. Tricolore refers to the 3 different colours of this pasta, the yellow pasta is the same as usual, the red pasta having been flavoured with tomatoes, and the green with spinach.
