The Pilchards Works Fillets in Tomato Sauce are delicious Cornish fillets in a rich flavoursome tomato sauce.
These tasty Cornish pilchard fillets are rich in Omega 3 oils and are canned in a traditional way to keep the sublime fresh taste. They were produced for “The Pilchard Works” in France using techniques perfected by the Bretons since 1853. The fish were caught one evening by small Cornish vessels using sustainable techniques approved by the Marine Stewardship Council.
The tin comes decorated with Newlyn School paintings by Walter Langley and Frank Bramley, making them not only a tasty and healthy meal but also an attractive souvenir.
These wonderful little fillets work amazing on fresh toasted bread, simple yet fabulous. Alternately you can pop these in a variety of food, a nice crisp salad helps enhance the flavour.
