Te Whare Ra Sauvingon Blanc is a well balanced white wine with a crisp and fresh taste. With a fragrant bouquet of gooseberry and fresh herbs as well as a touch of passionfruit and lemongrass.
Coming in at 13% Vol with a straw yellow colour, this 2019 release shows lovely Awatere characters which include guava and white currant. Using 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes creates an elegant wine with good depth. This additionally has a blend of four selected vineyards in two different sub regions of Marlborough.
Te Whare Ra Winery is a family run vineyard, with some vineyards certified organic and the rest are sustainably cared for according to the organic principles.
The final product is a stylish bottle with a fresh taste followed by notes of elderflower and also fleshy fruit. Partially oak fermented in large, old oak barrel for a satin texture and bright acidity.
Pairs perfectly with shellfish and fish as well as pork and roast ham. With a well balanced flavour this goes well with rich dishes.
