This decaffeinated coffee has been decaffeinated using the sparkling water process. First, the beans enter a
pre-treatment vessel to be cleaned and moistened. Next, they are bought into contact with pressurised liquid
carbon dioxide. This expands the pores in the beans, allowing the caffeine molecules to be more mobile.
Water is now added, essentially making sparkling water. The carbon dioxide acts like a magnet, attracting the
caffeine molecules. Following this, the sparkling water enters an evaporator which removes the caffeine-rich
carbon dioxide from the water. The water is then used again, ensuring the best flavour, you’ll love it just as much as a standard coffee.
