Starting out in 1995 with a simple request from the founders brother. Asking for bespoke Christmas food gifts for corporate clients with superior quality yet a unique twist and individual charm as well. One of the gifts was sent to the owner of a chain of delicatessens who was so taken with it, he immediately ordered some for his shop. From there, Walnut Tree was planted.
Like many starter businesses, it began in the kitchen before being moved to the garage and then a factory in Hertfordshire after the abundance of orders and lack of space called for it in 2012.
Their main priority is superior foods and a belief that this can only be achieved by visiting suppliers here in the UK and abroad. Many countries have specialty foods, for those who are health conscious to those who enjoy something a bit sweeter. With everything from apricots and figs from Turkey and cranberries, almonds and walnuts from American to marron glace and glace fruits from Europe.
They have a hand packing policy in the UK which guarantees you certainty over choice and reliability whilst supporting local employment and allied trades. Everything is packed with love and care in one of their custom-made gift boxes or trays.
