This sauce is rich in flavour and with a creamy mouth feel. Perfect for drizzling over steak salads, enjoying as a dip with chicken wings or chips and also ideal for using as a finishing touch on beef burgers.
If you prefer a thicker sauce, do not add in the buttermilk or milk and if you want to make it even thinner once combined simply add more buttermilk until you reach your desired viscosity.
- Crumbled Gorgonzola – 150g
- Fresh Sour Cream – 100ml
- Mayonnaise – 100ml
- 1 x Tablespoon of Buttermilk (or use Milk for a lighter flavour)
- 1 x Teaspoon of Fresh Dill – Diced
- 1 x Tablespoon of Lemon Juice
- Salt & Pepper to Taste
In a bowl, add your lemon juice, buttermilk, sour cream and mayonnaise. Stir to combine and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add in your crumbled gorgonzola and fresh dill. Using the back of a tablespoon squish some of the blue cheese lumps so you have a nice varied texture with some larger and some smaller chunks of cheese.
Stir to combine making sure its all evenly distributed, check for seasoning and add any more if you desire. This is the point to add more liquid for a looser sauce if required.
